AVAILABLE BEFORE YOU SPEND
Current account balances
Available means balance minus allocations reserved for goals, yearly bills and Mom’s money. Tunisia is in TND.
Record money in or out
Choose income, expense, account transfer, Mom’s money or Tunisia mortgage. Account balances update automatically. For mortgage funding, transfer EUR to the Tunisia account, then record the TND payment separately.
TRANSACTIONS
New movement
A transfer updates both balances, converts EUR ↔ TND when needed, and is not an expense. Mom's +/− changes the Savings account and her tracked portion together. Tunisia account uses TND.

Only the five real accounts are set here. Goals and Mom’s allocation are managed through their respective records. Editing balances does not create transactions.

GUIDE & DATA SAFETY
How RIZQ works.
Practical rules for balances, goals, annual bills and secure backups.
Daily reminders · الذكر والدعاء
The white reminder card appears directly below the RIZQ header on every page after you sign in. It shows a different Qur’anic verse or supplication each day; use Previous and Next to browse the 33 reminders at any time. The header always shows بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ — Surah Āl ʿImrān 3:26. Each reminder shows its own reference, distinguishing Qur’an, reported prophetic supplications and personal du’as. The complete religious text is displayed in the card, so it is not repeated here.
Sign-in and private family cloud
Sign in with your own email and password and connect to your family household in Supabase. Family members use separate accounts but share the same household data. Your financial dashboard stays locked until a verified household is available. The cloud indicator in the header shows connection or synchronization status. A local copy helps with continuity, but it is not a substitute for a backup.
The five real accounts
Salary, Household, Savings and Cash Envelopes hold EUR; Tunisia holds TND. An opening balance is a snapshot, not an income transaction. Income increases the chosen account; an expense or a recorded donation reduces it. Transfers debit the sending account and credit the receiving account, using the specified exchange rate if currencies differ.
Available balances and reserved amounts
Mom’s money, savings goals and yearly bill reserves are allocations within real accounts, not extra money. Reserving funds in the same account reduces the amount available to spend without changing the actual account balance. Moving funds to a different account changes both real balances. Avoid counting allocations twice.
Expenses, income and transfers
Use Expenses → Input expenses to record ordinary expenses, income, transfers, yearly bill payments, savings contributions or Tunisia mortgage payments. Check the selected account, amount, category and date before recording. Complete history and the monthly/yearly views let you review movements; the person who recorded a transaction is shown when available.
Giving & Zakat · الصدقة والزكاة
Use the separate Giving & Zakat page to record Sadaqah, Zakat or other giving. Enter the amount, date, account used and optional recipient or notes. A donation reduces the real balance of the account you chose, but is excluded from ordinary expense totals and is not a savings goal. It appears in its own donation history with the person who recorded it. Deleting an eligible entry reverses the debit. The displayed annual EUR totals count EUR donations; donations from the Tunisia TND account remain in history and are not automatically converted into the EUR totals. RIZQ does not currently calculate your Zakat obligation.
Saving for a goal
Already saved is an opening allocation backed by existing funds. A new goal starts at zero until you enter a backed opening amount or record contributions. A contribution reserves funds for a goal; the destination account changes only if it differs from the source. Gold and anticipated Cometa are identified separately in the Italy house estimate, not counted as ordinary bank cash.
Yearly bills: an example
In Settings → Expenses, configure a yearly item such as motorcycle insurance, its target and reserve account. Record contributions as funds are set aside. When it is paid, use Expenses → Input expenses → Yearly expense payment, choose that bill and the account actually charged. If the payment comes from the reserve account, the app also reduces its reserve. The transaction appears in history.
Tunisia mortgage
When funding the Tunisia account from Italy, first record a EUR-to-TND transfer: this is not an expense. Record the mortgage installment separately in TND to debit the Tunisia account. The remaining-principal estimate is updated from your lender statement, not automatically reduced by the entire installment (which may include interest). Your configured monthly budget amount is preserved when the app loads; the monthly mortgage budget is independent of the estimated lender installment. The expected mortgage end is shown as MM/YYYY, e.g. 04/2033.
Dates and amounts
Recorded dates in RIZQ’s history and summaries are presented as DD/MM/YYYY (e.g. 07/11/2026). Month-only mortgage dates are MM/YYYY (e.g. 04/2033). Some native date-picker controls may display dates according to the browser or device locale, even though the stored date remains consistent. EUR amounts use Italian number formatting such as 1.250,00 €; Tunisia balances are shown in TND.
Settings and saving changes
Configure regular and yearly expenses, incomes, goals, account balances and mortgage assumptions in the Settings pages. Use the blue Save Changes button at the bottom of the relevant settings page and confirm the cloud save status before moving to another device. If the app reports unsynced changes or a conflict, do not discard the local data; export a backup first.
Corrections, deletion and backups
Deleting a reversible movement restores its account and allocation effects. Editing an opening balance directly does not recreate old movements, and some imported transactions may not be reversible. Reconcile your five account balances with actual statements regularly, especially after imports or corrections. Export a JSON backup before a deployment and after major changes.
Security and synchronization
Supabase authentication and database Row Level Security protect household access. Never enter bank login details or a Supabase service-role key into the app; only use a public/publishable key in the browser. Changes are synchronized to the family household using revision checks to avoid silent overwrites. If concurrent editing creates a conflict, preserve a JSON backup before resolving it. The Qur’anic reminders are bundled in the app itself and require no database table, migration or SQL update.
